Donald Trump’s administration has commenced the deportation of migrants.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House spokesperson, announced on Friday, in a tweet, posting pictures of detainees being loaded onto a US military aircraft for deportation.
“Deportation flights have begun. President Trump is sending a strong and clear message to the entire world: if you illegally enter the United States of America, you will face severe consequences,” Leavitt tweeted.
The identities of the detainees have not been disclosed, and it is unclear where this group is headed. On Monday, Trump signed an executive order suspending the Refugee Admissions Program, citing the US’s inability to absorb large numbers of migrants and refugees.
Trump also vowed to deport alien criminals in the US. Some Democrat-backed states have taken Trump to court over his immigration stance.
