Rishi Sunak, UK PM

The United Kingdom announced sanctions against businesses associated with the warring groups in Sudan on Monday, which is facing a major humanitarian disaster after a year violence.

Al-Fakher Advanced Works, a holding company that the RSF uses to export gold, and Alkhaleej Bank, a financial institution that has been funding the organization, are among the targets of the sanctions. Weapons are purchased with the money raised.

A mining and exploration business that donates money to the SAF, Red Rock Mining, will also be santioned. The corporation has strong ties to the Defence Industries System, the SAF’s commercial and manufacturing wing according to the foreign office,

France is requesting more attention and aid contributions for a crisis that officials claim is being overshadowed by the current wars in Gaza and Ukraine as it is organizing an international conference on Sudan.
