Two high school student who were struck by lightening on Wednesday have suffered cardiac arrest after attending a football match in Japan’s south western prefecture of Miyazaki.
At about 2:30 pm local time, the local fire service received a report that a lightning strike on the Miyazaki Sangyo-keiei University property in Miyazaki City had harmed many individuals.
Upon their arrival, firefighters took two individuals who were experiencing cardiac arrest to the hospital along with other injured parties. The fire department claimed a football practice was taking place at the location during the time.
A low-pressure front was causing extremely unstable atmospheric conditions in southern Kyushu and other locations.
Rain clouds were gathering over the Miyazaki city and lightning warnings were issued for the prefecture because of the possibility of strong wind gusts, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
