Thousands of demonstrators gathered in Washington, D.C. on Saturday to participate in the People’s March, a protest against President-elect Donald Trump ahead of his inauguration.
The rally, historically known as the Women’s March, has been rebranded to broaden its appeal and address a wider range of issues, including feminism, racial justice, anti-militarization, and climate change.
The march began at 10 a.m. and included participants from various activist groups such as Planned Parenthood, the National Women’s Law Center, Abortion Access Now, and the Women’s March.
Despite the smaller turnout compared to previous years, the event drew significant attention and highlighted the ongoing concerns of progressive voters.
The protesters gathered at multiple locations before marching to the Lincoln Memorial, where discussions were hosted by various social justice organizations.
The event aimed to energize voters and emphasize the importance of unity in the face of the incoming administration.
