Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced his readiness to hold talks with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump about the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Speaking at his annual end-of-year press conference, Putin mentioned that he is open to meeting with Trump “at any time” and believes they would have much to discuss.

Putin reiterated that Russia’s objectives in Ukraine remain unchanged and stressed that any negotiations must address Russia’s security concerns.

He also noted that he has not been in contact with Trump for over four years but is ready to engage in discussions and seek potential compromises.
