North Korea fully supports Russia’s war in Ukraine, leader Kim Jong Un said on Wednesday.
He made this known while hosting President Vladimir Putin during a state visit to Pyongyang, North Korea.
It was learnt that a new “strategic partnership” deal was signed during the trip, Putin’s first to the North since in 24 years.
“North Korea expresses full support and solidarity to the Russian government” over the war in Ukraine, Kim Jong Un stated.
Putin thanked Kim, who has been under UN sanctions for ten years due to his illegal weapons programs. Putin expressed Moscow’s appreciation for Kim’s steady and firm support.
The two nations have been allies since North Korea’s creation after World War II and have grown even closer as Russia aims to form a united stance against the West.
