A video shared on social media captures a chaotic scene where a group of Kansas City Chiefs fans appears to tackle an individual to the ground amidst a crowd fleeing in fear. In the footage, two men forcefully bring the person down while another signals for assistance, leading to the arrival of two police officers shortly afterward.

Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves addressed the incident during a news conference, stating that authorities are currently probing whether the individual tackled in the video is a suspect in any ongoing investigation.

The video’s portrayal of the Kansas City Chiefs fans forcibly subduing an individual, coupled with the ensuing police response, underscores the intensity of the situation and the need for further investigation.

As authorities delve into the circumstances surrounding the incident, questions arise regarding the motive behind the individual’s apprehension and the broader context of the events depicted in the footage.

Lisa Lopez-Galvan was identified as the deceased in the shooting and President Joe Biden has commented on the situation as what “cuts deep in the American soul,” while he again, renewed his call for gun control.

He furthered, “The Super Bowl is the most unifying event in America. Nothing brings more of us together. And the celebration of a Super Bowl win is a moment that brings a joy that can’t be matched to the winning team and their supporters, for this joy to be turned to tragedy today in Kansas City cuts deep in the American soul.”

At least, 22 other persons were reportedly injured as 3 other are in critical condition.
