Israeli defence minister describes Iran as Country of terror

Yoav Gallant, Minister of Defence, Israel

Following last night’s attacks, Iran has earned the moniker ‘Country of Terror’s according to Yoav Gallant, Israeli Defence Minister.

The successful thwarting of Iran’s assault coincides with Israel being entrenched in its conflict against Hamas in Gaza.

Israel and Iran have been on a collision course throughout Israel’s six-month offensive on the Gaza Strip.

The strikes orchestrated by Iran, occurring less than two weeks following an Israeli attack on Syria resulting in the deaths of two Iranian generals within an Iranian consular building, represent the initial instance of Iran launching a direct military offensive against Israel, despite decades of hostility dating back to the country’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Reacting, Gallant said: “The Iranian attack was blocked in the most impressive way, together with our partners, the Americans and others.

”The entire world saw today who is Iran – a country of terror.”

Iran, however, has warned Israel against retaliating as it would launch an attack on a larger scale if the Jewish fail to heed to its advice.
