Israeli Defence Chief issues warning to Iran

Daniel Hagari, Israeli Forces spokesperson

On Tuesday, the Israeli military cautioned that Iran will not escape consequences after a string of missiles were launched over the weekend.

Iran retaliated for an attack on its consulate in Syria on April 1 by launching over 300 missiles and drones at Israel, resulting in the deaths of some generals.

However, the majority of the projectiles aimed at Israel were intercepted by the Israeli defense system, with assistance from the United States and other nations.

Speaking, Israel’s Army spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said “Iran will not get (off) scot-free with this aggression.”

The defence chief spoke while addressing journalists at the Julis military base while displaying the remains of an intercepted missile.

“We will not allow this aggression in the region,” Hagari said.

He said that, even as the world was talking about the “nuclear threat from Iran,” the Islamic Republic was “building a conventional threat, meaning to create a ring of fire across Israel”.
