An Israeli airstrike killed a Hamas commander, Saeed Attallah Ali, along with his wife and two daughters in the Beddawi refugee camp near Tripoli in northern Lebanon.
This marks the first strike on this area since the Gaza conflict began.
Since the start of the war, Israel has repeatedly targeted Hamas officials in Lebanon, with at least 18 militants from the group reported dead.
This includes several high-profile commanders, such as Fatah Sharif Abu al-Amine, killed in the Al-Bass camp earlier this week, and Samer al-Hajj in Sidon in August.
Lebanon’s Palestinian refugee camps, including Beddawi, were originally established to house those displaced during the 1948 war. By long-standing convention, the Lebanese army refrains from entering these camps, leaving Palestinian factions to manage their security.
