Israeli’s forces launched overnight strikes on Rafah, killing 13 people, including nine children, according to reports.

Health officials were quoted as saying that strikes launched on the southern Gaza city of Rafah overnight killed at least 13 people.

A nearby Kuwaiti hospital, which took delivery of the bodies, revealed that the first strike killed a man, his wife and their three-year-old child.

They further disclosed that the woman was pregnant and the doctors managed to save the baby.

The second strike killed eight children and two women, all from the same family, the hospital continued.

Israel carried out the attack amid warnings that any attack on the city is likely to cause many more civilian casualties and worsen an already acute humanitarian crisis across Gaza.

Rafah is believed, according to Israeli military officials, to be Hamas’s last stronghold in Gaza.
