Germany’s Steinmeier to visit Nigeria

German President Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier is scheduled to visit Nigeria from December 10 to 12, 2024.

This visit aims to emphasize the strong ties between Nigeria and Germany and underscore Germany’s recognition of Nigeria’s significance on the global stage.

During his visit, a delegation of CEOs and senior board members from prominent German companies specializing in IT, will accompany President Steinmeier high-tech, and energy sectors. He will meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Alieu Omar Touray, President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

In Lagos, President Steinmeier will engage with business leaders, visit a start-up hub, and interact with members of Nigeria’s cultural sector and civil society.

He will also meet with renowned Nigerian cultural icons, including Dr. Nike Okundaye, popularly known as Mama Nike of the Nike Art Gallery, and Nobel Laureate for Literature, Prof. Wole Soyinka.
