Firefighters in Southern California have made progress against the Mountain Fire, which has destroyed about 132 structures, mostly homes.
The fire, which started on Wednesday morning in Ventura County, has grown significantly and is currently partially contained. Favorable weather conditions, including decreased winds, have helped firefighters gain control over the blaze.
Despite the progress, thousands of residents remain under evacuation orders, and the fire continues to pose a threat to critical infrastructure.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
