President Joe Biden has announced a one-time payment of $770 for victims of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles County.
The wildfires have claimed 29 lives and caused significant destruction. Biden emphasized that the federal government would cover 100% of the disaster response costs for the next six months.
The aid aims to help victims quickly purchase essentials like water, baby formula, and prescriptions. Nearly 6,000 survivors have already registered for assistance, and $5.1 million has been distributed so far.
