Yahaya Bello, the immediate-past Governor of Kogi State, was absent at the Federal High Court Abuja for his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC over alleged money laundering offence involving N84 billion.
Earlier, the court was informed by the counsel for the EFCC, Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, that Bello was absent from court for his arraignment because he was being protected by someone with immunity.
The case was subsequently adjourned the suit to to April 23rd by Justice Emeka Nwite.
