Wike slams PDP Governors, say he’s bigger

Nyesom Wike

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fired back at governors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who have shown support for Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

Speaking at a grand reception hosted by the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress in Port Harcourt, Wike addressed the ongoing tensions within the PDP, declaring himself to be much more influential than the governors criticizing him.

Responding to those aligned against him, including Adamawa State Governor Umaru Fintiri and Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Wike stated, “Don’t ever think they are fighting me; they are not fighting me. I’m too big.”

Wike further emphasized, “If you don’t recognize someone who is bigger than you, then you are sick. I’m far far (bigger than) all of them put together.” He downplayed threats within the party, suggesting that soon, the true relevance of individuals would become clear, adding, “Let nobody threaten anybody; all those threats are empty.”

Wike’s comments come amid an ongoing power struggle within the PDP and reflect his determination to maintain his influence in both the party and national politics.
