The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reaffirmed its authority to review any election results declared under duress.
In a Sunday morning statement, Mohammed Haruna, National Commissioner & Member of the Information and Voter Education Committee, emphasized that if necessary, INEC would not hesitate to use its power to review such results.
Haruna noted that the INEC Result Viewing (IReV) portal had been activated, and polling unit results were being uploaded.
He also stated that collation had been completed in most Local Government Areas, and State-level collation would commence soon.
Haruna urged that party agents, observers, and the media should be given unhindered access to collation centres and called on security agencies to maintain their vigilance until the process is concluded.
