President Bola Ahmed Tinubu – GCFR has admonished Governors across the Federation to set aside political differences and collaborate with the Federal Government to move the country forward and actualize the Nigeria of our dreams.
The President made the call when the Governors visited him at the State House, Abuja for Iftar on Thursday.
He called for unity and cooperation amongst stakeholders while emphasizing on the need to transition from politics to governance.
”Since we recognised the need to build our nation together, the time for politics is over. It is now time for governance.
”We are of the same family and parents; living in the same house, but sleeping in different rooms. We must cooperate and spread love among each other,” he stated.
He seized the moment to advise Muslims and Christians to make use of the Ramadan and Lenten periods to pray for the country and help the needy.
He expressed optimism about the future, noting that the challenges are beginning to respond to the solutions being implemented by his administration.
”I am glad that the headwinds are almost over. The tunnel is not as dark as when we started. It is going to be brighter. We must communicate with each other, stick together, and share joy,” he said.
