Activist Aisha Yesufu has berated Northerners for always misplacing their priorities.
In a post on her X handle, she claimed Northerners prefer to focus their energy on frivolities than what really matters.

According to her, they’re never anywhere to be seen when it’s time to condemn injustice or fight for what is their fundamental rights.
The outburst might not be unconnected to the recent arraignment of minors arrested during the #EndBadGovernance protest.

“If it is a musician using mosque or hijab in their video or an actress using niqab in her film or a Muslim actress posting her picture in evening dress, ‘Northern’ twitter handles do not wait for ‘Southern’ handles to tweet. But when it comes for fighting for fundamental rights or against injustice they sit down and even with arrogant sense of entitlement demand for ‘southern’ handles to tweet for them,” the tweet read.
“Pathetic citizens who fight for God and leave their fight to God,” it added.
