Former Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, has declared that outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki is “politically dead.”
Oshiomhole made this statement during an interview on Politics Today on Channels TV, while discussing the outcome of the recent Edo governorship election.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the election.
Oshiomhole emphasized that the election results reflect the will of the Edo people.
He also addressed concerns about reactions to the APC’s victory, stating, “We subscribe to President Jonathan’s view that the election of even a president is not worth the blood of any Nigerian,” in response to comments from the opposition about potential unrest.
