Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has granted amnesty to 40 prison inmates serving various jail terms as part of his 60th birthday celebration.
The decision, announced by the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, reflects a commitment to rehabilitation and second chances.
Among the beneficiaries, 15 inmates will be released immediately, while several death sentences have been commuted to life imprisonment.
