Ondo First Lady, Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, makes a return

Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, the wife of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, has returned to the state after over a year.

This follows speculation and appeals for her to reconcile with her husband amid reports of a strained relationship.

Oluwaseun’s unexpected return to the Government House occurred during a ceremony for the governor’s niece at the Government House Chapel on Saturday.

It is reported that she had left the state during Aiyedatiwa’s tenure as deputy governor due to their frosty relationship.

Efforts to reconcile the couple had been ongoing, and her presence at the event was seen as a positive sign, especially ahead of her husband’s February 24 inauguration. Her arrival was met with applause and joy, as many saw her presence as filling an important void in the state’s affairs.

One source noted, “Her sudden appearance may be related to the wedding and the increasing demand from the people of Ondo State for her return. Her absence was perceived as a missing link in governance.”

The officiating priest at the chapel addressed her as Her Excellency upon seeing her, which drew further applause from the congregation.
