The Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, has suffered a loss at his own polling unit in the ongoing Edo State elections.
Akpata, along with Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is one of the leading contenders for the state’s governorship.
However, in his polling unit, the PDP candidate secured 41 votes, outpacing Akpata, who garnered 31 votes. The APC came in third with 19 votes.

PDP: 41 votes
LP: 31 votes
APC: 19 votes
