The Southern Governors’ Forum meeting is currently holding in Ogun State.
The governors are meeting at the presidential Lodge, Ibara housing, Abeokuta, the state capital.
Ten Governors have reportedly arrived at the venue.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos who doubles as the Chairman of South West Governors’ Forum, Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Biodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), Alex Otti (Abia), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun) and Bassey Otu (Cross River) are all in attendance.
Deputy Governors, Chinyere Ekomaru (Imo), Monday Onyeme (Delta) and Olayide Adelami (Ondo) are also on ground to represent their Principals.
Governors from all the 17 Southern States are expected at the meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is still unclear, but Southern Governors are convening for the first time since the death of former Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, who chaired the forum until his passing.
