Benedict Akika, a key loyalist of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who was kidnapped from his private residence in Ibadan, has regained his freedom.
A close family source confirmed his release this evening. Earlier, members, supporters, and followers of the Omituntun Benedict Foundation (OBF) gathered in large numbers at various religious places of worship, including both Christian and Muslim communities, to seek divine intervention for Akika’s safe return.
According to the family source, the news of his release has been confirmed.
