Two commissioners who are loyalists of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike in the cabinet of Siminalayi Fubara, Governor of Rivers State have been redeployed in a cabinet shake-up.
Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor SAN, was deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office). He was the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice up till the moment of redeployment.
The other is the former Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, who has been moved to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.
The transfers was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo.
The statement titled ‘Cabinet Reshuffle,’ reads, “His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has approved a minor cabinet reshuffle thus:
“Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor SAN, the former Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice is now deployed to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office).
“Barr. Isaac Kamalu, the former Commissioner for Finance, is now deployed to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.
“They are to handover to their respective Permanent Secretaries
immediately as this deployment takes immediate effect.
“All hand-over processes must be completed immediately.”
Both redeployed commissioners were among the nine who resigned their positions from Fubara’s cabinet at the peak of the political crisis between Fubara and his predecessor, Wike, which shook the state.
It took the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for normalcy to be restored.
