Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has issued a stern warning ahead of the upcoming governorship election, describing it as a “do-or-die affair.”
Speaking at a PDP rally in the Ekemwan area, Obaseki cautioned that any electoral malpractice by the opposition would lead to serious consequences, signaling the intensity of the political atmosphere in the state.
The governor criticized the previous administration, accusing it of disrespecting the people and supporting immoral activities.
He highlighted improvements in job creation, pensioner welfare, and safety during his tenure, urging the people to vote for the PDP in the election set for Saturday, September 21.
Key candidates in the election include Asue Ighodalo of the PDP, Monday Okpebholo of the APC, and Olumide Akpata of the LP.
