APC reject court’s ruling on Ganduje

The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress has rejected the ruling of a Kano state High Court affirming the suspension of a former governor of Kano and current national chairman of the party, Umar Abdullah Ganduje.

The party described the ruling as “unlawful”.

Earlier, it was reported that a Kano State High Court on Wednesday affirmed the suspension of Ganduje following an ex parte order restraining him from further parading himself as a member of APC.

However, the National Legal Adviser of the party, Professor Abdulkarim Kana declared the court order a nullity.

He stated this while addressing newsmen following a visit to Ganduje by APC members and excos from his ward and LGA respectively.

“We’re also hearing this afternoon that they used the same document to go to court to obtain an order of the court. We haven’t seen the order, but we have heard about it.

“Whatever order that will emanate from such a document, and all of us know – even a 100 level law student will tell you that an order obtained by fraud is an unlawful order – it will not be enforceable, and it will not be recognised and it will not be respected.”
