Aiyedatiwa leads by wide margin in Ondo Gubernatorial Election

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the ongoing Ondo State gubernatorial election, is maintaining a substantial lead as the results collation nears completion.

According to figures released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Aiyedatiwa has amassed 301,113 votes, significantly outpacing Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has garnered 97,051 votes.

The 204,062 vote difference highlights the APC’s strong performance in the election thus far. Results from three Local Government Areas (LGAs) are still pending, with the collation process continuing at INEC’s office in Akure, the state capital.

The process began at 12:35 a.m. and is overseen by the Returning Officer, Prof. Olayemi Akinwunmi, Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Lokoja.
