VeryDarkMan apologizes to Femi Falana

On Monday, social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, issued an apology to renowned human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, over derogatory remarks he had made.

Otse expressed his regret while appearing before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions.

The apology comes after Otse had shared an audio clip in which crossdresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, accused officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) of accepting a ₦15 million bribe to drop money laundering charges against her. Bobrisky’s claim had also implicated Falana, which Otse now regrets.

Otse clarified his stance, saying, “Apparently now, some people are taking advantage of what is going on to target Femi Falana. I apologise, it’s so sad that his name was mentioned in that audio. I couldn’t believe it as well, and that’s the part that irritated me the most. I refuse to believe that he is involved in something like that.”
