Two factory workers have died after falling inside a diesel reservoir in the Ikosi area of Lagos State.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. on January 11, 2025. Preliminary investigations revealed that one of the workers accidentally fell into the reservoir while conducting repair work. The second worker became trapped while attempting to rescue his colleague.
Officials from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Lagos State Fire Service arrived at the scene and rescued the victims. Both workers were transported to the hospital by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) after receiving first aid, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Unfortunately, despite all efforts to revive them, both victims were confirmed dead at the hospital.
