Tinubu names Abuja Road after Achebe

President Bola Tinubu has approved the renaming of the M18 road infrastructure in Abuja’s Guzape District in honor of the esteemed writer Chinua Achebe.

The President announced this at the inauguration of the road on Saturday June 8, 2024.

The news was shared by Olusegun Dada, the Special Assistant to President Tinubu on Social Media, who highlighted the significance of honoring Achebe for his literary contributions and his profound impact on African cultural heritage.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Commissions the M18 road infrastructure in Guzape District of Abuja. Names road after Nigerian Novelist and Poet, late Professor Chinua Achebe,” the post read.

Days ago, Tinubu named the Arterial Road N20, which runs from Northern Parkway to Outer Northern Expressway (ONEX) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja after Nobel Laureate Professor Olúwọlé Akinwande Soyinka.
