President Bọ́lá Ahmed Tinúbú on Thursday joined the people of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ and the global Yoruba community in celebrating the 50th birthday of Ọọ̀ni of Ifẹ̀, Ọba Adéyẹyè Ẹnitàn Ògúnwùsì – Ọ̀jájá II.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser, Báyọ̀ Ọ̀nànúgà, Tinubu praised the Ọọ̀ni’s leadership and wisdom, highlighting his role in preserving Yoruba traditions and his contributions as Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria.
He commended the monarch’s efforts in youth empowerment, philanthropy, and fostering national unity.
“With heartfelt optimism and support, the President pays tribute to the Ọọ̀ni for exemplifying the traditional Yorùbá values of humility, peace, and generosity while also honouring the dignity and integrity of his exalted throne,” read the statement.
Tinubu also offered his prayers for Ọba Ògúnwùsì’s continued success and prosperity, emphasizing that his reign will continue benefiting both the people of Ifẹ̀ and the nation at large.
