This was made known by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Saturday.

Tinubu “will return to Abuja on Sunday, following his official visit to China and his short stay in the United Kingdom,” Onanuga said.

President Bola Tinubu held another round of bilateral talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang as part of his visit to China. During the visit, President Tinubu and his wife were hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan at a Welcoming Banquet and Cultural Gala, on the eve of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Summit.

Several Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) were signed during the visit, including:

Additionally, Nigeria signed an MOU with China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) to build the 68 km Lagos Green Rail Line, connecting Lekki Free Zone to Marina and linking with the Blue Line.

Another significant MOU was for a $1 billion iron ore-to-steel project in Kogi State, between Chart and Capstone Integrated Limited of Nigeria and Sinomach-He of China.

President Tinubu also visited Huawei and CHEC before the FOCAC opening, where he delivered a speech as ECOWAS Chairman, focusing on the importance of multilateralism and cooperation for global peace.
