Nigerian Christians and Muslims have been urged to pray for a miracle as the value of the Naira continues to decline by Shehu Sani, a former lawmaker and social critic.
Sani urged followers of both religions to fast if the miracle didn’t occur in seven days in a post on his X account on Wednesday.
“Muslims should pray for Naira this coming Friday. Christians should pray for Naira on Sunday. You will see miracle on Monday. If you don’t see it, fast for 7 days. If you still don’t see miracle, it means even miracle hath left thee because of thy sins,” he advised.
Nonetheless, FX Turnover rose to $117.32 million on Tuesday from $66 million on Monday, according to FMDQ statistics.
The outcome caused the Naira to slightly appreciate against the US dollar on Tuesday, going from N1,574.62 on Monday to N1,551.24 on Tuesday.
