Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has predicted increased hardship in 2025, warning of an economic collapse that could lead to public unrest.
In a statement through his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele criticized the Nigerian government for failing to address the current suffering of citizens, predicting that the situation will worsen unless immediate action is taken.
He cautioned that food prices will skyrocket, stating, “We will soon buy rice for N150,000 and beans for over N200,000.”
Ayodele dismissed the effectiveness of the country’s refinery projects, saying they won’t alleviate economic challenges, and warned that foreign exchange rates will worsen unless corrective measures are implemented.
“The hardship will intensify, and next year will be three times worse unless the government takes responsibility,” he added, emphasizing the need for urgent reforms to prevent further economic decline and possible citizen revolts.
