The Nigeria Police have announced a ₦20 million bounty for information leading to the capture of British national Andrew Wynne and Nigerian citizen Lucky Ehims, both of whom are wanted for allegedly plotting to overthrow President Bola Tinubu’s government.
A reward of ₦10 million is being offered for each individual’s arrest.
This follows a comprehensive investigation by the police and other security agencies into efforts to undermine the democratically elected government.
Nine suspects have already been arrested, with authorities revealing that they received substantial financial backing from foreign sources to incite violence and unrest across the country.
According to Force Public Relations Officer ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, preliminary findings indicate that Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich or Drew Povey, established a network of sleeper cells with the intent to destabilize the government.
He reportedly rented a space at Labour House, Abuja, under the guise of an “Iva Valley Bookshop” and created “STARS of Nations Schools” to conceal his activities.
The police are calling on the public to provide any information that could lead to their capture and have urged anyone who encounters the suspects to report them to the nearest police station.
