Ọwá of Ìdànrè dies at 102

The Ọwá of Ìdànrè Kingdom in Òndó State, Oba Frederick Adegunle Arólóyè, ArúbíefÍn IV, has joined his Ancestors.

He was aged 102.

The Lísà of Ìdànrè Kingdom, Chief Christopher Akindolire, confirmed the death of the first-class traditional ruler on Wednesday.

He stated that preparations for the necessary traditional rites are already taking place in the palace.

He became the 26th Ọwá and paramount ruler of all Ìdànrèland in September 1976, following the transition of his father, the 25th Owa, Oba Aladegbule Aroloye Arubiefin III.

Kábíyèsí presided over an adminstrative structure that governs over 400 villages and settlements that comprise Ìdànrè Kingdom.
