The Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 79.
According to reports, Oba Adebimpe attended the coronation of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I, on Friday, July 12. He had been hospitalized since July 13 due to illness.
A family source confirmed that the late Osi Balogun’s remains will be buried at his family compound in Odinjo, Ibadan.
It should be noted that his father, Oba Gbadamosi Akanbi Adebimpe, was the 35th Olubadan of Ibadanland, reigning for 18 months from December 10, 1976, until his demise at the age of 85 on July 17, 1977.
