Oba Julius Ajayi Adewumi Omomo, Okunbadejo II, the Olojoda of Oda, in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, has joined his ancestors.
The passing of the king was affirmed by a close associate of the family, Chief Prince Ade Adelakun.
Adelakun depicted the departed ruler as a modest, honorable, and approachable monarch.
He stated, “the late king was attentive to his people and dedicated to the unity and advancement of the region.
He also characterized the monarch’s tenure as notably active.
Oba Omomo was installed in May last, following the demise of the previous occupant of the throne, who died after a brief illness.
Oba Julius was aged 83.
