Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has celebrated with fathers’ across the country on the occasion of this year’s Father’s Day.
He hailed them for the role they continually play in the lives of the younger ones.
His position was contained in his goodwill message on Fathers’ Day posted on his X handle.
“Let me profoundly congratulate fathers all over the world on the 2024 Fathers’ Day Celebration,” he wrote.
“Fathers are endowed with great capacity for exploits, determination and the shouldering of responsibilities as moral compasses at home and in the society at large.
“That is why they remain ladders for uplifting our children towards a greater future.
“In deep appreciation of the role of fathers as breadwinners, role models, teachers, leaders, disciplinarians, burden bearers and shapers of the society, it is my fervent prayer that God continues to give them the vigour to weather the storms and odds of life.
He further wished fathers continued reward and fulfilment.
“May God continually reward their untiring efforts and commitments towards achieving their endeavours and bettering the lot of society.”
