The Ogun State Police Command on Saturday revealed that Oladapo Seyifunmi, one of the abducted worshippers at Celestial Church of Christ, Oriyarin Parish, Mowe in Obafemi/Owode Local Government Area of the state has regained freedom.
Omolola Odutola, spokesperson of the state police command disclosed this in a post on her verified Facebook page.
“We are pleased to inform members of the public that one Oladapo Oluwaseyifunmi, Shepherd of the Celestial Church kidnapped, has been rescued through the relentless combing of the forest by policemen, hunters, VGN, Amotekun. He has been reunited with his family,” read the post.
Seyifunmi and Oluboboye Abiola were kidnapped from the church on Thursday when some gunmen invaded the church.
The gunmen reportedly escaped through a thick bush behind the church according to a statement by the Police.
