Troops from 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) apprehended a suspected female informant for kidnappers in Taraba State.
The arrest occurred on September 6, 2024, in Sondi village, Wukari Local Government Area. The suspect, Miss Markus Grace, was identified as the girlfriend of a notorious kidnapper named Chen, who has been involved in terrorizing the area.
According to a statement by Captain Oni Olubodunde, Acting Assistant Director of 6 Brigade Army Public Relations, Grace is currently in custody and undergoing further investigation. During the operation, troops recovered an AK-47 rifle and a vehicle.
The military vowed to continue efforts to rid the state of criminal elements that threaten the peace and safety of residents.
