Ekiti CJ dies

Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has died after a brief illness.

Details of his death were sketchy at the time of this reports, but sources said he died on Monday.

Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Adegoke Olanike, announced the passing of the Chief Judge, born in 1960, who was widely respected for his dedication to justice, fairness, and equity.

The Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oba Olayiwola Michael, shared that the late judge made significant contributions to Ekiti’s judiciary.

Justice Adeyeye, who had survived an injury from a high court building collapse last year, started his career in 1986, later serving as state counsel in old Ondo State and joining the Ekiti Judiciary in 1996.

He was appointed to the High Court bench in 2002.
