The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite facing challenges of broken promises, exploitation, and widespread corruption.
NLC President Joe Ajaero made this call in a statement on Monday, ahead of Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebrations.
Ajaero praised the resilience and sacrifices of Nigerian workers, acknowledging their strength in the face of continued betrayals by the political class. He emphasized that, despite the hardships, Nigerians should remain hopeful for a better future.
The statement comes at a time when the country continues to grapple with significant issues such as high inflation, rising energy costs, infrastructural deficits, and currency instability in the foreign exchange market, with no lasting solutions in sight.
