A middle-aged man identified as Alfa Ahmed has reportedly killed his grandfather and uncle in Ibadan, Oyo State, in what is suspected to be a ritual-related incident.
The killings occurred on Sunday evening at the back of a popular market in Apete, located in Ido Local Government Area.
Sources revealed that the suspect took advantage of his grandfather’s blindness and his uncle’s poor health to carry out the attack.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the man intended to use parts of their bodies for a money ritual.
Local residents, shocked by the gruesome event, alerted the police. The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the incident and stated that an investigation has begun.
He assured that updates would be provided as the case progresses.
