On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja for a private visitation in Paris, France.
This was disclosed in a statement headlined “President Tinubu travels to France” that he signed on Wednesday. Ajuri Ngelale is the President’s Special Advisor on Media and Publicity.
Ngelale stated, “He will return to the country in the first week of February 2024,” despite the statement not mentioning the purpose of the visit.
Since taking office eight months ago, Tinubu has made three trips to the nation, including this one on Wednesday.
Three weeks after taking office, on June 20, 2023, Tinubu began his foreign tour in Paris, the capital of France, which he had not seen since his election as president-elect.
The Nigerian president took part in the New Global Financial Pact summit in Paris over the course of his four-day visit. According to a statement signed by Dele Alake, the Special Adviser for Special Duties, Communication and Strategy at the time, the agreement “places vulnerable countries on the priority list for support and investment, following the devastating impact of climate change, energy crisis, and after effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
It was the President’s first UNGA as President, the 78th United Nations General Assembly, which convened in New York, USA, on September 19, 2023, and he spent nine days there with world leaders.
He then traveled to Paris, France, where he spent five days before landing in Abuja on September 29, just in time for Nigeria to celebrate its 63rd anniversary of independence on October 1.
