Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, who was scheduled to be arraigned at the FCT High Court on Wednesday, took charge of crowd control in the courtroom after Justice Maryann Anenih left in frustration.
Justice Anenih, who was set to take the plea of the former governor and two others, abruptly rose and announced she would not return until order was restored in the courtroom.

Shortly after the judge’s departure, Yahaya Bello, who had been seated at the front, stood up and moved towards the crowd. He immediately instructed his followers and sympathizers to vacate their seats and leave the courtroom.
His actions helped to calm the situation, as his followers exited the courtroom one by one without resistance. To maintain order, the former governor positioned himself at the entrance of the courtroom, ensuring that none of his followers disobeyed the court’s directive.

All his aides and supporters patiently followed his instructions and left the court in an orderly manner.
Meanwhile, Kemi Pinheiro SAN is leading the federal government’s legal team for the arraignment, while Joseph Bodunde Dauda SAN is representing the former governor in the 16-count charges.
