The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced a recruitment drive for 2024/2025, inviting qualified candidates to apply for various vacant positions.
This initiative follows the Federal Government’s approval to recruit 3,927 new customs officers to boost operational efficiency and address staffing gaps.
The recruitment process, which commenced on December 27, 2024, is open to candidates for positions in the Superintendent, Inspector, and Customs Assistant Cadres.
The application window will remain open until January 2, 2025.

- Inspector
- Customs Assistant Cadres
Qualifications:
- BSC, HND, OND, NCE, SSCE (depending on the position applied for)
General Conditions:
- Applicants must be Nigerian by birth.
- Applicants must have completed their primary education and obtained a First School Leaving Certificate.
- Minimum height requirements: 1.7 meters for males and 1.64 meters for females.
- Medical fitness is required; applicants must not be physically or mentally challenged.
- Applicants must not have been convicted of any criminal offense.
- Applicants must not be members of any secret society, cult, or drug addicts.
- Applicants must present a certificate of State/LGA of origin.

The NCS emphasized that applicants should avoid submitting any false documents, as falsification will result in immediate disqualification and may lead to prosecution. Only shortlisted candidates will be entertained.
