Mákindé approves appointment of New Civil Service Employees

Oyo State Governor, Sèyí Mákindé, has approved the appointment of newly recruited civil service employees.

This decision is part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to reduce unemployment and improve the efficiency of the state’s civil service.

The Chairman of the State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe, announced the development, highlighting the administration’s commitment to positively engaging the people of Oyo State.

The recruitment said to be the first of its kind in the history of Oyo State, covered about 60 cadres across Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including Education Officers for 35 teaching subject areas in schools under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

The recruitment process aims to fill various positions within the civil service, ensuring that the workforce is well-equipped to meet the needs of the state. This move is expected to enhance the delivery of public services and contribute to the overall development of Oyo State.

Governor Mákindé’s administration has been praised for its proactive approach to employment and workforce development, setting a precedent for future administrations to follow.

All successful applicants will collect their letters of offer of appointment before the end of January 2025.
